Watches and monitoring
PolyMonitor connectors. Same source form, separate list.
Console → PolyMonitor → Watches. The form is the same as PolyFeed sources (RSS, HTML list, API, poll, language). Use this list for connectors you are monitoring — not the main News ingest list.
Fields on every watch
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Label in the console list. Does not change the remote URL. |
| Type | RSS, HTML list, or API. Pick this first — the rest of the form changes. |
| Language | Language of the source. Used for ingest and Feed API language_code. |
| Category / Capability | News uses category (e.g. top-stories). Market Intelligence uses capability. Feeds and alerts key off this value. |
| Poll interval | How often we fetch. Options: 1 min, 3 min, 5 min (default), 10, 15, 30 min, 1 hour. |
| Active | When off, the source is not polled. Existing items stay in the workspace. |

Optional workflow on item.created- Activity shows fetch health and last error for these connectors.
- Alert type source_error fires when a watch fetch fails.
- Keyword and category alerts still evaluate items those watches ingest.
Monitoring is the bridge between intelligence and automation: a watch produces items and health events; alerts and workflows decide what to do.
