Sources
An external location Aevico polls into your workspace.
A source is an external feed, listing page, or API that Aevico polls. Each source belongs to a workspace and is configured independently.
Console → PolyFeed → Sources. Choose News or Market Intelligence at the top before you add a source — category lists differ. PolyMonitor → Watches uses the same form for monitor connectors; do not mix those with PolyFeed sources.
Choose a type
- RSSExample: BBC World (top-stories).
- HTML listA listing page plus URL include/exclude filters.
- APIExample: GNews top-headlines.
Fields on every source
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Label in the console list. Does not change the remote URL. |
| Type | RSS, HTML list, or API. Pick this first — the rest of the form changes. |
| Language | Language of the source. Used for ingest and Feed API language_code. |
| Category / Capability | News uses category (e.g. top-stories). Market Intelligence uses capability. Feeds and alerts key off this value. |
| Poll interval | How often we fetch. Options: 1 min, 3 min, 5 min (default), 10, 15, 30 min, 1 hour. |
| Active | When off, the source is not polled. Existing items stay in the workspace. |
You can paste seed JSON (array of sources) when bulk-adding. Test fetch is available for HTML list and API before you save.
Lifecycle
Configure → validate → fetch → extract → normalize → publish
Activity shows last successful fetch, last item, and recent errors. Pause a source with Active off; existing items stay in the workspace.
Source count includes PolyFeed sources and Watches. Hitting the plan max returns a conflict until you delete one or upgrade.
